
Buying and financing a home is a process, not an event.
It takes time and dedication and can sometimes be frustrating, especially if the folks you are dealing with see you as a one-time client.
At Lighthouse Lending, we view the process as creating a life-long commitment. Many of our clients have come back to us for second transactions even third and fourth purchases or refinances and have sent friends, relatives and neighbors to our care. When they send a referral, we are actually serving two clients…the one who was sent and the one who sends. The trust and confidence of both are absolutely critical to our business model.
Our favorite clients are typically first time homebuyers or credit-challenged home buyers. Often, this group is either underserved or just plain abused and may have been denied a loan because another lender did not know how to solve their particular problem. We find these cases particularly rewarding. When their loan closes, we not only earn a living, but are usually rewarded with a grin and a big hug.
Our other favorite client is the reverse mortgage client. We find that reverse mortgages are grossly misunderstood. Being senior citizens ourselves, we understand the challenges and the goals of this age group and find that a reverse mortgage is often a useful tool. But it is just that…a tool…and not a panacea. There are circumstances where it is inappropriate. If we find that it is not appropriate, you will be told and told why. You may choose to continue and we may agree to continue with you. Or we may not. What appeals to us most about these two groups and scenarios is that we feel that we can have the biggest positive impact, frequently facilitating life changing events.
While these are our favorites, there is no loan or loan program that we cannot access and we serve all socio-economic groups with the same dedication to full disclosure and timely results.
